Frequently Asked Questions:
What will I need to reserve a trip with Willow Run?

your trip reservation make sure that your Equine has his or her paperwork in order. Necessary paperwork for legally
transporting an Equine within the United States includes:
a) ORIGINAL copy of a NEGATIVE Coggins Blood
Test
b) A State Health Certificate signed by a liscensed
Vet. stating the overall health of the Equine
c) a properly functioning halter and lead-rope
d) ONE BALE OF HAY PER EQUINE

Please see our Payments Page for more details.
How often does the driver stop to check on the Horses/Ponies?
With Willow Run Equine Transport Services, your Equine are in the very BEST of hands.
Our drivers/handlers stop every 2-4 hours not only to "check" on the Equine, but to water them, groom them, replenish hay,
feed treats and "talk" to them. Our driver pays close attention to the Equine he is transporting and will frequently
stop if he hears stomping or whinning.
What about overnight trips or trips that may take more than one days driving time?
We often have "long distance" trips to travel and you can rest assured that these trips
are our specialty. Most contracted Equine do just fine while spending the night en route. In fact they often feel
safe and can relax more when the truck and trailer are not moving and they welcome the rest. However, Willow Run Equine
Transport Services has an array of Overnight Stabling contacts that our Clients are free to research and choose from should
you so desire. The cost of overnight stabling is at the Client's expense but can be well worth it for active or Sport
Equine.
Where is my horse(s) or pony?
Willow Run Equine Transport makes every effort to update its Clients on Equine trip
progress as we are able to offer such information. Updates are made through email, text messaging and by phone.
We will ALWAYS call to notify of pick-up and deliveries, usually when the driver is about 40minutes away.
***REMEMBER, when calculating trip progress on your, own using either MapQest
or another mileage calculator, estimated trip times are given for trips being made in passenger cars, traveling at a constant
rate of speed. These estimates are inaccurate when calculating the driving time(s) for a vehichle hauling live animals.
Generally speaking, the estimated driving times given using these online services can be doubled to get the estimated driving
time for Equine Transport. Why? Our driver, once loaded, will never drive faster than 55mph and maintains a feeding,
cleaning and welfare schedule to check on your Equine every 2-4 hours as needed. Each rest stop generally takes an additional
30-45 minutes. So, please when calculating driving times and/or distances take the above information into consideration.
Thank you.
